Installing Motorola Handset USB Drivers
To work with a Motorola device running Android™ (whether or not you are running MOTODEV Studio for Android), you need a set of USB drivers appropriate for your device. Note that these custom USB drivers are only needed if your development computer is running Microsoft® Windows®, and only if you are working with a Motorola Android device connected directly to your development computer.
USB Drivers
If your development computer is running Microsoft Windows, install the needed USB drivers as follows:
- Download the "Handset USB Driver for Windows" (32- or 64-bit).
- Double-click the downloaded
.msifile and follow the installation steps. - Turn on your device and connect it to your development computer. Windows should detect the device, associate the appropriate interfaces with it, and confirm that the device is ready to use.
For troubleshooting help, see the Motorola Android Development FAQ.
