MOTODEV Studio for UIQ is an integrated development environment, based on the Eclipse IDE that lets you develop, debug, and deploy UIQ/Symbian applications for Motorola UIQ-based handsets. This release offers two target platforms, a package creation wizard, a device manager view, context-sensitive Help, and a default perspective for the development environment, as well as sample applications that you can leverage to create new UIQ projects more quickly.
- Preconfigured views give you a handle on development activities such as multiple device configuration.
- Integrated deploy and launch let you target Motorola handsets and the UIQ Emulator.
- UIQ template classes create .cpp and .h files with initial structures that follow UIQ standards.
- X86 Debugger provided for debugging applications on the UIQ emulator.
- Package Creation Wizard facilitates creating an application package.
- Package Signing enables self-signing or signing with a certificate acquired from Symbian.
- Build Automatically option lets you rebuild your applications whenever changes are saved.
- Build Error Parser indicates warnings or errors for .cpp, .h, .mmp, .rss, .rls,.rh, .hrh,.rsg, and .rsc files that are reported at Problems view. Double-click and the editor opens at the position where the problem occurred.
- Outline view displays functions, variables, and includes based on C++ source code.
- Quick navigation between C++ classes: just CTRL-click.
- MOTODEV Device Manager View allows you to manage all the device configurations you create. It is possible to start, stop, and verify the status of all available devices.
- Sample applications can be used as templates to accelerate the creation of new UIQ projects.
- Context-sensitive Help and integrated documentation includes user guides, troubleshooting, and references for UIQ and Symbian development.
