Motorola UID Extraction Tool v2.2

The UID Extraction Tool is no longer the preferred method of obtaining handset information. Please use the Config Tool, a component of MOTODEV Studio for Java ME and MOTODEV SDK for Java ME, instead. MOTODEV Studio for Java ME may be downloaded from http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/motodevstudio/. The UID Extraction Tool should be used only if your handset is not yet supported by the Config Tool.

This tool allows developers to read and save the Unique ID (UID) and International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) information of a Motorola handset using the USB connection in a Microsoft Windows® PC.

Features

The UID Extraction Tool v2.0 also supports the following functions

  • Ability to enable and disable the Java Application Loader (JAL) feature on Motorola handsets. JAL must be enabled on Motorola handsets before any Java MIDlets can be downloaded.
  • Ability to enable and disable the KVM Debug Wire Protocol (KDWP) feature. KDWP must be enabled on a device in order to support real-time Java MIDlet debugging.

The UID Extraction Tool can be run from the command line or from its graphical user interface.

Supported Handsets

  • MOTORAZR maxx V6, MOTORAZR V3xx, V1100
