MOTODEV Summits offered mobile professionals comprehensive tools and resources for creating applications across a breadth of products and platforms.

As Vice President, Software Platforms and Ecosystem for Motorola, Christy Wyatt is responsible for the development and management of Motorola's strategic platforms, ISV and developer ecosystems. Christy and her global team drive platform definition, design, and development and cultivate a thriving developer environment through partner recruitment/management, tools development and support, ISV management and go-to-market programs. She currently serves as Motorola's board member for the Linux Foundation, LiMo Foundation, and Eclipse Foundation.

Prior to joining Motorola, Christy served as Worldwide Developer Relations Director at Apple Computer where she was responsible for partners, global alliances and evangelism. Before her time at Apple, Christy was Senior Director at Palmsource Inc., responsible for their licensing and developer relations teams where she grew the developer community from 3,000 to 200,000 with more than 14,000 applications.

Christy has also held key technical, sales and business development roles at Sun Microsystems, JavaSoft and ESRI.

Together with Motorola's customers and developers Mahad plans the MOTOMAGX evolution to deliver a robust platform that will support a compelling product portfolio with rich user experiences. Mahad has 20 years of software industry experience and has spent the last 10 years at Motorola's Mobile Device business. He holds an M.B.A. from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Masters in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India.

Steven graduated with a master's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Bradford University in the UK and his early career was spent in hardware design and program management within the Marconi group. Moving to Cambridge-based wireless business TTPCom, he product-managed their successful range of GPRS technologies from inception to full commercial deployment. He went on to direct first the sales function and then the marketing function of TTPCom's software business unit. Following acquisition by Motorola in July 2007, Steven is now marketing director of Motorola's AJAR platform.

Edwin Bisek, Manager of Application Testing Services, is responsible for coordination of all testing and signing services related to pre- and post-loaded third party applications for Motorola products. Prior to joining Motorola, Edwin spent over 7 years at PalmSource, Inc and Palm, Inc., where he, among various other activities, co-developed the PalmPowered logo certification program for Palm OS licensees, and the Premium Support Services for the vast Palm OS third party developer community. He holds a B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the T.H. Rijswijk in the Netherlands.

Neil Bonner was appointed Manager of Carrier and Service Providers for Motorola's Enterprise Mobility business in June 2007. He is responsible for understanding, enhancing and growing Motorola's enterprise mobility relationships with European-based mobile and fixed line carriers.

Bonner joined Motorola as part of its acquisition of Symbol Technologies, where he had gained over a decade of experience in software development and support, international product marketing and business development for its mobile device range. This has given him a wide range of knowledge and a deep understanding of the challenges inherent in the mobile enterprise. He has also been integral to the business' increasing provision of GSM/GPRS solutions.

Prior to Symbol, Bonner was employed as a real-time software developer, providing specialist applications for the image processing industry.

Bonner lives in the UK and is a graduate of Warwick University. He has been a Chartered Engineer for 10 years and his hobbies include skiing, sailing, travel and alpine walking.

Justen Dyche joined the BBC in 1990 making radio programmes for the World Service. He has had a varied career within the Corporation, moving first to Television, directing the output for BBC One and BBC Two, later specializing in News programmes and taking on Editorial roles before moving into technology provision. Now working in BBC Future Media and Technology, he has specialized in the use of mobiles for reporting breaking news. In 2003 he issued reporters with the first video capable mobiles, in 2004 he developed the technology to enable live transmission of 3G video calls and in 2005 he collected an RTS Technology Award in recognition of these achievements. Justen continues to act in this specialist role and is also running a rolling program of innovation for BBC Research and Innovation.

John Ellis is the Director of Carrier Market Development within Motorola's Ecosystem and Market Development team. John has over 18 years of experience throughout the telecommunications industry in both the infrastructure and handset businesses. He has held numerous leadership positions in Motorola with multiple international experiences including expatriate positions in both Europe and Asia. He is Motorola's Executive Council member to the LiMo Foundation and Co-Chair of the Mobile Linux Initiative, formerly in OSDL and now part of the Linux Foundation. John has undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Spanish from Valparaiso University, an MS in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Ed is responsible for developer relations at UIQ Technology.

Ed has a long history of innovation and technical achievement through previous roles as Head of Localisation at Dorling Kindersley Multimedia, where he headed the team that won the prestigious Milia D'Or for the Multimedia DVD of the Year 2000, and Head of Developer Programs at Symbian. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Computing and a Masters in Optical Data Recording.

Scott Lyons began his career in New York City at MTV in the mid 90's spearheading promotions for The Video Music Awards and Movie Awards. During his time at the channel, Scott also co-founded production company Sugar. In 1998 Scott moved Sugar to London with fellow MTV colleagues and quickly made a name by producing large-scale live TV and webcast events. Scott then joined WPP's interactive agency Digit as Commercial Director and was instrumental in building up the company's reputation within the advertising world. While working on the Motorola account Scott was offered to take on a new position at the company of Music Director in the just launched Global Category Marketing team. Whilst in this position Scott spearheaded Motorola's music strategy and created platforms for preloading music across the company's device range.
