WDT has either developed, or licensed and operationalized, a series of applications and algorithms from leading weather research organizations such as the National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL), the University of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Climatological Survey, MIT/Lincoln Laboratory, and McGill University.

In the media industry, WDT provides weather content, iMap, and iMapMobile applications to over 600 media properties including: Fox Interactive Media, Scripps, ABC, Griffin Communications, Citadel and multiple other local media organizations. Our iMap capability is now the largest user of the Google Maps Flash API and the usage is growing >30% per month and statistically our average visit session lasts more than 8 minutes and the user interacts with the map >7 times.

WDT’s utilizes a white-label business model therefore we don not compete with our partners. We are the behind-the-scenes alerting, weather and geo-mapping engine for the majority of weather and media companies in America. We provide our partners with state-of-science technologies and a significant time-to-market advantage with differentiating exclusive content.
