The new Open JAL tool allows developers to download local and network-aware applications to all iDEN Java-enabled handsets. This new version removes all access restrictions and supersedes previous versions of this tool. The Open WebJAL tool will work on all iDEN-network handsets.

This tool allows developers to read and save the Unique ID (UID) and International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) information of a Motorola handset using the USB connection in a Microsoft Windows® PC. Version 2.2 is used specifically for the MOTORAZR maxx V6, MOTORAZR V3xx, and V1100 handsets.
